Kirksville Tornado Cleanup

Last Saturday, a larger group from Bluffton, IN was planning on coming out to HIS Ranch to help at HIS Ranch. However, a bad storm came through Missouri the Wednesday (May 13) night before. A tornado whipped through the town of Kirksville, MO and completely wiped out some homes and farms, while leaving others mostly unharmed. When the need was made known, it was decided that the Taylor Apostolic Christian Church would take a group down on Saturday (May 16) to help with the cleanup. The Bluffton group willingly decided to join them.

Saturday morning they all met together at Shon Haerr's. They did not know exactly where they would be needed to clean up, so they prayed before they left that the Lord would lead them and guide them! During the drive there, it was decided that they would go to a certain farm. As they got closer, the damage of the tornado became more and more evident. What destruction!
Upon their arrival, the group began by clearing away the trees that had fallen in the yard of the farmhouse. After the yard was cleaned up, they began the task of walking through the fields & pastures gathering the many strewn pieces. The pieces consisted of everything from sheets of metal torn from the sides of barns to a shower head. After the day was over, everyone left feeling grateful for the opportunity to share the love of Jesus Christ through their actions. The folks from Taylor also couldn't help but be reminded when they not so long ago, were in such desperate need for help themselves. Thanks again to all who helped last weekend in Kirksville and last summer in the flood fight in Taylor! We need one another so much! Your love is not forgotten!

More Hoosiers Hauling!

As already mentioned before, last week we had a small group from Bluffton here to help out at the ranch. Much was accomplished and we are so thankful for their hard work! Thank YOU! And just a note, they really did more than just lounge around!

Thank you Crosspoint Community Church!

I am a bit late here with this post, so I apologize for that! On May 2, we were blessed with a big team from Crosspoint Community Church in Eureka, IL. They spent the day planting trees, weeding, mulching, moving/shaping dirt, grouting the outside bathroom and working on the stalls. Wow! Their energy and work ethic were greatly appreciated. I think most of them even got a turn to ride. Until you are paid better eternally CCC team, THANK YOU! We would love to have you back again.
